Recora Incorporated is a privately held company based in North Aurora, Illinois, just outside of Chicago, operating from a modern 25,000-square-foot facility. Founded with a focus on pressure-sensitive switch technology, Recora originally served both commercial and specialty markets — including one of our first niche applications: custom kneeler switches for the Catholic Church.
As industries evolved, so did we. Today, Recora specializes in industrial-grade pressure-sensitive mats, ribbon switches, foot-activated treadle pads, electronic controllers, and custom control devices used in safety-critical environments across the U.S. and beyond. Our solutions are engineered to deliver rugged reliability, precise performance, and easy integration — even in the most demanding settings.
Recora products are used wherever presence detection, access control, or operator safety is essential. From robotic welding cells and automated assembly lines to car washes and medical systems, our mats and controllers are adaptable, responsive, and built for real-world abuse. Whether you need a single mat or a fully customized safety platform, we’re ready to build it with you.
Recora is committed to:
If your operation has unique requirements, our engineering team can help configure a tailored solution using our proven mat, switch, and controller systems. We bring decades of experience in pressure-based safety systems to every project, from concept to deployment.
